I am a digital creator who, from time to time, creates something physical. I specialize in Motion, 3D and Brand Design at Talpa Network, while also freelancing as a Web Designer.

Hank the tardigrade

interactive design / webdesign  ‘2020

This project shows Hank, a tardigrade who I found in my backyard. Tardigrades are microscopic creatures and hide in moss. Within this project, I wanted to tell a story from the non-human perspective. Tardigrades are experimented on because they can survive anything. They are known for the dormant state they can enter. Within this state they can survive for many years. That’s what humans find so interesting, a life that can extend even more.

The website tells the story of Hank while he crawls underneath the microscope. It has been created with HTML, CSS and Javascript.

De-Center Re-Center was the exposition where this project was shown. A beamer guided visitors to the Ipad, where you could explore the website. With the QR code you could also open the website on your phone and experience Hank yourself.   (the website is made for smaller screens)
